THROWBACKTHISDAY, APR 6; Nelson Mandela was released from the hospital

On Thisday 6th April 2013, Nelson Mandela was released from the hospital after dealing with a recurring lung infection at the age of ninety-four.
Mandela was South Africa's first black president and led the struggle against apartheid in the country.
