Peter Ayodele Fayose (born 13 November 1960) is the current governor of Ekiti State in Nigeria . He was governor from 29 May 2003 to 16 October 2006.

Fayose grew up in Ibadan, Oyo State where he attended Olivet Baptist High School, Oyo. He is married to Feyisetan.^[1] He conducted one of the most sought after medical outreach programmes during his political campaign in 2001.^[2]

Peter Ayodele Fayose was the PDP flag bearer in the 2014 Governorship election in Ekiti State slated for 21 June 2014. He won the election and has been declared by the Independent National Electoral Commission as the new Governor, Ekiti State; and was inaugurated on 16 Oct 2014. Fayose also extended to working with Fayemi so as to ensure peace.

APC lawmakers at the Ekiti State House of Assembly have served Gov. Ayo Fayose an impeachment notice, and have given him 7 days to respond. This would make him the first Nigerian governor to be impeached twice in office.
